This site is a small tribute to one of the greatest black rock bands. Connecticut senator Joe Lieberman exemplifies the frequent perception of Marilyn Manson in his famous remarks that the band is "perhaps the sickest group ever promoted by a mainstream record company." Originally Marilyn Manson & The Spooky Kids, each early band member created their stage name by combining the first name of an iconic female with the last name of a murderer, to pronounce the polarities of good and evil. The bizarre name Marilyn Manson thus originates from Marilyn Monroe and Charles Manson. Bassist and guitarist Twiggy Ramirez also derived his stage name as such.
Marilyn Manson has gone multi platinum four times, and the band shows no sign of slowing down. If it's true that "there is no bad publicity", then controversy surrounding the band has also helped propel them for many years and will continue to do so.
